Attachment Theory and Interventions is a CEU accredited training course that provides insightful clinical application of trauma and attachment concepts. Heather Boynton, LCSW, provides an introduction to attachment theory, trauma symptoms, and effects of trauma experiences on the brain.
The course will conclude with a discussion of managing the behaviors/coping mechanisms that the client uses to cause relational/social issues for themselves. The participants will learn interventions to implement as well as teaching the caregivers to implement these interventions so the families can assist these children with soothing and techniques to help these children to feel safe and secure in their environments.
