Intensive In-Home services is based on the idea that it is best for a child to work through his/her mental health issues in a stable, supportive home environment. To that end, the program provides therapeutic services to children at risk for removal from their homes and their families. The primary goal of service is to stabilize the placement and reduce-if not eliminate-the need for placement outside of the home.
In home services utilize a multi-system approach in planning and implementing individualized services. Treatment may include: intensive in-home services, home-based services with client and family, 24 hour crisis intervention services, life skills training, case management, and substance abuse treatment.
Our agency provides in-home services to families and individuals. The client may exhibit the following behaviors: Inappropriate or noncompliant interactions affecting school achievement, difficulty controlling anger, poor listening skills, resentment towards authority figures (including caregivers and school personnel) involvement with the police and legal system, runaway, truancy, low self-esteem and poor peer/family interaction.
These services are made available for families that are Medicaid eligible. Social services or the Juvenile Court System may also refer clients.
